About Danny

With more than 37 years industry experience specialising in insurance for both medium and large enterprises, Danny joined Regional Insurance Brokers in 2007. Formerly holding senior roles at Zurich at state and national levels. An active member of the insurance community and current CQIB President, Danny brings a strong work ethic with focus on people development and supporting customers. As General Manager, Danny overseas Regional's broking operations across the state, but also directly managers our Brisbane, Toowoomba and Sunshine coast offices.

About Darren

Darren has over 40 years industry experience across a varied range from underwriting, management and insurance broking. Darren holds a Diploma of Insurance Broking. Having commenced his career with a national insurer, he then moved into an underwriting management role for a multi-national insurer, tasked with establishing and servicing a network of insurance brokers. Darren now heads up our Central Queensland operation and supports our offices in Rockhampton, Emerald, Gladstone and Biloela.

About Mitch

Holding an Advanced Diploma in Insurance Broking and NIBA QPIB qualified, Mitch Binney has over 20 years experience in the insurance industry. Before taking up broking, Mitch spent two years in an underwriting team and for the last 16 years at Regional, has been broking in North Queensland. Mitch now heads up our North Queensland region, covering locations from Mackay, Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Bundaberg and Airlie Beach.

About Andrew

Andrew's journey in the insurance industry, which began in 1987 with State Insurance in New Zealand, has been marked by an impressive trajectory through various roles across different countries. His tenure at Jardine Lloyd Thompson / Marsh and McLennan, culminating in the position of Regional Manager, reflects his leadership prowess and ability to navigate complex insurance landscapes. His educational background, including a Diploma of Financial Services in General Insurance, and his affiliations with esteemed organizations like the Australia and New Zealand Institute of Insurance (Snr Associate) and Finance and the Insurance Brokers Association of New Zealand (Fellow), underscore his commitment to professional development and industry standards. Andrew's diverse interests outside of work, from history and travel to dining, reading, and sports, not only showcase his well-rounded personality but also suggest a capacity for creative thinking and broad perspectives, which can be invaluable in the insurance sector's ever-evolving landscape. Moreover, his dedication to family and maintaining a healthy work-life balance speaks to his understanding of the importance of holistic well-being, which can contribute to his effectiveness as a leader. Given his extensive experience, qualifications, and personal qualities, Andrew is poised to make significant contributions as the General Manager at Regional Insurance Brokers, bringing fresh insights and strategic vision to the role.
